A Private Floor, Not a Roped-Off Corner

The Embers Room is the entire second floor above Firetender, with its own foyer, its own restrooms, its own bar and its own kitchen. Once your party comes up the stairs, the floor is yours. No dividers, no dining room noise, no strangers walking through the middle of a toast.

The Room

Vaulted ceilings with a slatted wood inset, brass chandeliers, charcoal board-and-batten walls and pale washed floors. Windows on three sides look out over the treetops of Roanoke Island. Long oak tables seat a wedding party shoulder to shoulder; pull them apart and the same floor becomes a standing reception with cocktail tables along the windows.

Board dinners, sales kickoffs, closing celebrations, training days and client receptions. A private floor with its own entrance, restrooms and bar, in the middle of Manteo, with 78 rooms downstairs in the same building for anyone travelling in.

Weddings and Rehearsal Dinners

Rehearsal dinners, welcome receptions, day-after brunches and small ceremonies. The whole wedding party can sleep upstairs at Hotel Manteo and walk down, so there is no shuttle, no designated drivers and nobody leaving early to beat the bridge traffic. Seats up to 60.

The Embers Room has its own kitchen, so the food is built for your event rather than pulled off the restaurant menu. Stone-oven pizza stations, passed appetizers, plated multi-course dinners, family-style platters, buffets and dessert tables.
